Ethics · Corporate Social Responsibility · Corporate Governance

Assuming that a free enterprise system will be possible in the future, both businesses and individuals have to attach utmost importance to ethics and governance, unless they want the state to continually establish additional control mechanisms.

The two objectives of the seminar are to raise and deepen awareness of ethical ideas among businesses and individuals, and to discuss the external (governmental) and company-specific rules of conduct. More specifically, the aim is to encourage corporate governance and to raise awareness of the resulting consequences on the responsibility of a business towards society and the environment (i.e. corporate social responsibility).

Ethics will be addressed on the basis of practical examples from everyday and business life (e.g. business mission, marketing mix, corruption, money laundering, or the topic of “When in Rome, do as the Romans do!”).

In this seminar, we will discuss ethically essential fundamentals which will influence the company’s economic efficiency, its social responsibility and sustainable action. We will also address the question of how to decide in ethically critical cases.

With regard to corporate governance, we will address governmental rules as well as internal control mechanisms (topics: supervisory and administrative boards, committees, code of conduct, code of best practice).

Participants:
Supervisory and administrative boards, managing directors, corporate governance officers, project managers responsible for aforesaid topics
